Anyways, here goes with my first Weekly Review.
Boars v Vikings
Well, Vikings put up what will be their highest score of 2024 and still couldn’t get the job done.
"Look out for James Harmes" was the call… 42 of the best.
Boars looking dangerous, however that forward line makes me want to vomit.
W1zards v Blaze
Let’s start with the Blaze – let’s say this team folds, i see about 10 players being picked up in the pool. Which rebuild will take longer, Blaze or West Coast?
And Wizzz… he’d be happy with a free hit in Round 1, if it weren’t for Luke Beveridge ruining his weekend.
Warriors v $nakes
Calling it here… this is the end of the Warriors.
He’s been struck down by injuries, yes. But those injured are the ghosts of Dream Team past; Adams, Mitchell, Shiel, Doc. Billings 140 on the bench is handy though, hasn’t lost it completely The Boss.
$nakes – anything short of another flag is a failure from here. May he mouth all season long.
Turtles v Stars
If the $nakes are a lock for the flag, the Turtles are a lock for 2nd. Only thing stopping them is the absolute brain fade of a trade… Harley "55 point forward" Reid for Chad Warner LOOOOOL.
Meanwhile, the Stars, lot’s of injuries – let’s pencil him in for his usual 4th – 6th.
HEAT v Falcons
Once again the HEAT bring another team down to their muddy levels.
Falcons had it in the bag, but their lack of depth killed them – Erasmus and Chesser as subs, as well as BBBW going missing in the 2nd half. Parish to come back in next week will help.
HEAT meanwhile look pretty ugly. Going to be a long year.
