Its getting boring isn’t it? 6 premierships, and plenty of finals – the Boss just wont go away. The Warriors are set to win it all yet again and if the WRS doesnt see non-cartel in the big dance, im giving up. He is an elite coach as the aforementioned record speaks to, and now has the strongest line across the forwards, backs and ruck. He leaves the midfield to the peasants.
Breakout Player – Hayden Young
Bang – will be elite this year. A perfect example of why the Warriors have been able to be so successful for so long. Similar to Petracca and English before him, Lister has held onto Young through lean years and now stands to benefit from a massive, and I mean massive breakout.
Time to Slide – Dyson Heppell
Surely he is done as an AFL player. I never rated him and I think he is now being found out. May continue to play as an ex-captain, but his best is definitely behind him and will not be fantasy relevant in 2024.
Make or Break – Tim English
Absolutely dominated the ruck position last year and is poised to do the same in 2024. English could continue his domination, but there is also a slight chance Lobb and others are given more ruck time to preserve him through the back half of the year. If this occurs, there’s a chink in the armour, and the Boss could get rolled….but i’m picking English to go really big again.
Summary
Well done Lister on yet another WRS top spot. The team is so solid and has plenty of upside. Someone has to bring this cartel down at some point!
